LMRB conducts a National Media Survey (NMS) annually. The NMS is a survey of readership, listenership and viewership habits, of adults aged 10 years & over resident in Sri Lanka.

The most recent NMS, completed in December 2010, involved a record sample size of 11,800 and covered the whole of Sri Lanka, including accessible areas in the North & East.

NMS 2010-2011 covered all four mass media – Press, Radio, Television and Cinema as well as the Internet. The NMS database can be used as the basis for making advertising and media choice decisions.

Next round of NMS would be available in December 2011.

Software

Fast user-friendly menu driven software on a Windows platform, provided free with the NMS database, enables Clients to generate a wide variety of diagnostic reports. This includes an excellent graphics facility & the ability of sending reports to both Notepad & Excel.
